Introduction:

To be eligible for the UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel course you need to:
  • Hold the HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation unit of competency
  • You will also need the physical strength and fitness to complete the following assessment tasks:
  • Must undertake practical demonstration of CPR on the floor on a manikin for 2 minutes.

  • Prepare to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel
  • Carry out rescue from live LV panel
  • Complete the LV panel rescue procedure

Learning Methods:

This course is a 4-hour face to face session which includes written responses, demonstration of tasks and role play/scenarios/initiatives.

  • The ability to prepare to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel, including:
  • Identifying and applying relevant work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements, including the use of risk control measures
  • Identifying electrical dangers and PPE
  • Identifying and labelling the electricity isolation point
  • Inspecting and placing rescue equipment and tools
  • The ability to carry out rescue from live LV panel
  • Following workplace procedures – controlling risk
  • Accessing workplace procedures – isolation the LV panel and performing a rescue from a low voltage (LV) panel
  • Operating a low voltage rescue kit
  • Applying workplace procedures – CPR (Manikin)
  • Securing and controlling entry to site
  • Hand over to medical personnel
  • Complete the LV panel rescue procedure
  • Processes for reporting accidents and/or incidents
