DESCRIPTION:Introduction:\nThis 2-hour course has been designed for those who prefer to complete the CPR theory and assessment in a full face to face training and assessment session with no online components.\n\nThe CPR course delivers the essential principals‚ knowledge and skills to maintain breathing and circulation in emergency situations for adults\, children and infants. Participants will learn vital lifesaving skills and the confidence and knowledge to maintain basic life support in a person who is in cardiac arrest until help arrives. You could help save the life of a co-worker or someone close to you one day and become a real lifesaver.\n\nHLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a Nationally Accredited course. \n\n\nRequirements:\nThis unit applies to all people who may require to provide CPR‚ in a range of situations.\n\nParticipants must be a minimum age of 10 years on the date of final assessment. \n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\nHLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation \n\n\nLearning Methods:\nSupport for Diverse Learning\, Disabilities and Reasonable Adjustments: Surf Life Saving SA is committed to providing inclusive and supportive learning environments for all participants. SUMMARY:Boating Safety Education Course
DESCRIPTION:Introduction:\nWe are the approved and recognised State Government provider for SA Boat Licence Courses. \n\n\nRequirements:\nParticipants must already be 16 years of age before attending this course.\n\nOur course does not cater for children aged between 12 and 16 years of age. DESCRIPTION:Introduction:\nThe aim of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively crew an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in rescue operations. \n\n\nRequirements:\nSLS Club members who meet the prerequisites:\n\n	Financial and active member\n	Minimum of 15 years of age on the date of final assessment\n	Hold and be proficient in Bronze Medallion \n\n \n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\nPUASAR015 – Crew a Small Powercraft in a rescue operation \n\n\nLearning Methods:\nThis course has been designed to be delivered using a blended learning approach. This means that participants will learn using a variety of methods including face-to-face learning and self-paced learning (completed in the participant’s own time within timeframes set by trainers).\nCourse components\n\neLearning sessions\nThe eLearning modules are completed in the participant’s own time prior to the face-to-face sessions. The eLearning should be accessed at least two (2) weeks before the first face-to-face session\, this outlines what is expected of the participant to complete the course\, including the pre-course eLearning work required.\n\nMembers can access the eLearning online via the SLS Members Area eLearning platform or SLS Learning app using their SLS Members Area login details.\n \nFace-to-face sessions\nThe face-to-face sessions require members to attend training in person.
